I just received one of those emails from a friend about silly things you find on packages (you know like instructions that say "heat item" and then "caution item might be hot"). One of the top ten was purported to be an American Airlines peanut package that said "open package, eat nuts".

So curiosity got the best of me and to the road warriors and old timers that can remember when they got packages of peanuts I ask- did these instructions really exist or has it made its way to the email by urban legend?
