Intercontinental Tahiti


Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

• Booked Moorea View
• Got Moorea View although they did say it was an upgrade
• No complaints

How are the rooms?

• The room was clean
• It had a large balcony
• Bathroom had both a shower and a BIG soaking tub
• In room refrigerator was small but workable
• 110 V and 220 V outlets avaible in bot American and European formats
• This hotel is about 40 years old or more but you would not know it

How is the exec. lounge?

• This is a tropical resort with no executive lounge

What was good and what was bad?

• The bad:
  • The big pool was closed during our stay but that was due to a weather event shortly before our stay so, while disappointing, we don't blame the hotel
  • The bed was too comfortable (yes, that's a joke)
  • Food and drink prices are very high, but this is true of most resorts in Tahiti
• The good
  • The staff were very helpful and nice
  • English was widely spoken by hotel staff even though we did not expect it in Tahiti
  • It is a beautiful and well maintained property

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

• We booked in XPF which is pegged to the Euro. We were pleasantly surprised by the final bill in USD because of the weakness of the Euro
• Breakfast the first morning was a very expensive Tahitian brunch buffet but was included at no charge
• We would definitely return. In fact we are already planning our next trip in the spring
