IC O2 London
IC O2 London (We had two stays this week, Sunday night and Wednesday night, I have added only one entry)
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
We booked the cheapest room on both nights. The first night we were upgraded to a 15th floor river view, the second night we were upgraded to a 14th floor O2 view.
How are the rooms?
Fine, we spent no awake time there. Clean and well maintained. First room contained Agraria amenities and generic coffee capsules. Second room contained a mixture of Gilchrist & Soames plus Agraria amenities and Nespresso branded coffee capsules. Both rooms included a personal welcome letter.
How is the exec. lounge?
We didn’t book as we had free Diamond breakfast and £15 Ambassador spend in the bar. £85 seemed a lot to spend on afternoon tea.
What was good and what was bad?
Good - Both stays we were given free breakfast plus 600 welcome points. The first stay our welcome gift was five macaroons plus a bottle each of still and sparkling water. The second stay our welcome gift was a large fruit bowl plus a bottle each of still and sparkling water. We checked in around 2pm and left around 4pm the following day.
Bad - The check in queues were horrendous both visits. There is no priority Ambassador Desk. Everybody joins the same queue. The first visit there was another guest smoking at the pool which was vile.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Our rooms cost £182 per night. This was reduced to £132 as I had an offer for £100 off with my Amex. We have already booked our next stay.
