Intercontinental Doha Beach and Spa (beginning of May 2023)


Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked Clubroom, was upgraded to an Ocean suite a couple of days before my stay. The day before my stay I was further upgraded to a Pearl suite balcony.

How are the rooms?

Just briljant. The size of 3 regular rooms. Beautifully decorated.

How is the exec. lounge?

Very good. Spacious, beautifully decorated, incredible staff, very nice high and warm food. Great breakfast, much better than in the restaurant at the lobby level.

What was good and what was bad?

Good:
Check-in swift and painless in the club lounge. Welcome drink.
Room just briljant.
Nice views from higher floor.
Location: not much around except the heritage village, but that is just dull and unfinished.
Good breakfast choices and quality, especially in the club lounge.
Valid parking in complementary.

Bad:
Not really bad but the pool area needs a refurbishment. The hotel inside is refubished, but they should do the pool area. Service at the pool is not up to a proper 5 star hotel. No help with towels, no drink service, crowded, not that pretty.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Paid cash, around 300 dollar per night. Very good value with the upgrade and the club lounge.

The pool area makes me hesitant to return.
