Regency Executive Suite

Loved our stay here at HR Etoile, as we found our suite to be fabulous for what we paid - base rate was 330 Euro per night with a 9000 WOH point upgrade per night. The Hyatt PR’s video of the suite is a good view as well:
Pros:
  • WOH Upgrade Premium Suite points redemption (330E + 9000 points/nt) is a fabulous value for what you receive. See pictures below for examples of the views and the space - I believe it’s their second largest suite, save for the Presidential suite above it. The Loft suite looks nicer, though is smaller than Executive.
  • Regency Executive Suites seem to only be corner rooms based on the layout (see map). That gives you a view of Montmarte/Palais Garnier from the bedroom, and the Arc de Triumphe/Eiffel Tower from the dual windows in the living room.
  • Regency Club included in rate, and was popping during happy hours from 6-9pm when the wine station is open.
  • VIP team at Etoile sent a nice card with welcome fruit/apple drink, even as a lowly Discoverist! Must be the suite.
  • Transit options are great. HR is directly connected to the mall at Palais des Congres, so you could walk covered all the way to the several stops at Porte Malliot (great when it’s raining or super hot). There’s RER A right outside, Metro 1 around the corner, and the RER E extension to Porte Maillot just completed on May 6 2024 (brand spanking new train station, exits right outside the Palais, connects to La Defense to allow for day trips to Versailles).
Cons
  • It is a big hotel, so more impersonal compared to boutique hotels like PH.
  • You do see some wear and tear around the suite (chipped paint, older sofa). You won’t mistake it for a PH, but then again you aren’t paying 40k points for PHPV per night!
  • Kitchenette is limited functionality - only Nespresso set with 4 pods, tea set, glasses, and a basic set of utensils/plates. Wish we had a wine or bottle opener, service said it would be a 10E delivery charge or we could go downstairs to Mayo to pick up?
  • Walk-in closet nice with lots of space and hangers, wish they had some drawers to unpack more of our things in.’

Floor plan for Regency Executive Suite - as compared to the Suite which is 2 joint king rooms attached, this seems to be 3 rooms joined together!

Second bathroom had upgraded Pascal Moradito amenities (rather than the standard pump bottles of Pharmacopia in the main bathroom)
