Ohhhh!!! :-(( That is a shame! I wonder if Sofitel is looking to rebrand or build new in Manila.

My post was about Pullman Park Lane Hong Kong, not Sofitel Manilla

I learned today that the Mercure Ginza is closing on 31 August 2024. I don't know if will rebrand or if there's a different reason.

I was browsing the Hilton website and seeing that a DoubleTree was opening soon (says from July 2024) in Ottawa, Canada. The address looked familiar (33 Nicholas Street), and is the address of the current Novotel

https://all.accor.com/ssr/app/accor/...tawa-on-canada

I can't find anything official on the website (and you can book rooms well into 2025) but the name of the restaurant (Albion Rooms) on the Hilton website page for the hotel means it is the same hotel.

https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/yow...tawa-downtown/

I stayed frequently at the Novotel (and got decent upgrades and benefits there) but am now staying at Hiltons more so it is a wash but find it interesting that there is no mention of this on the Novotel page.

Thanks Admiral Ackbar . Yet another major N American city in which Accor's only presence will be a Fairmont.

Looks Marriott team is quite aggressive to push for Autograph brand nowadays.

So to provide the best possible experience, they close the hotel .
May be they will do major renovation. The hotel is very old. I heard the building was first open in the 50s (or 70s?)

They will lose the bay view anyway

They seems to try very hard to sign older hotels into that brand.

Looks like Accor will soon be completely out of Taiwan.

Dunhua Mansion Taipei - MGallery Collection has been closed down a few days ago.

Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport will become Hyatt Regency next year -- it is already showing in Hyatt development website

Just below 6 months, but local news says they were losing money every year even before joining Accor and therefore decided to close down
