The thing is, we don't know what booking classes will be multiplied by what percentage when computing the earned miles. SN uses Miles & More, so there is a good chance there will be booking classes with multipliers between 0% and 125% inclusive.
But for sure, if you are earning miles on SN after they actually join *A, they will be status miles.

thanks zorn
options to western africa are limited. flew air france last time and actually was pleased by the service in coach. (actually their coach product is superior to AC's but that's not saying much) if i can contribute to keeping my status on *A i'll be content.
i think that SN will be part of the M&M FF program. so i assume it will be the same accumulation of status miles as with M&M...

I don't know about flight to Africa, but intra-European flights with SN are so inexpensive, you can basically consider you fly for free (I do).
The most I have ever paid with SN is (IIRC) 54 Euros all in. And service is actually quite nice.
For those fares no doubts the multiplier would be 0%.
