Thank you FT

I had this little gem in my inbox when I woke up.

It's amazing what I've been able to do in the past few years (the numbers would only be slightly lower if it were the last 3 years rather than 15), all because of FT. Earning boatloads of miles and redeeming on various F products, as well as sending friends and family around the world.

Thanks everyone!

Well done.

That nomad fella has racked up that 2.5 MM in 3 years or less. The game is getting faster by the day

Impressive!

I wondered actually, your old 2015 sig indicated you flew maybe 100-150k a year, but seems more like 800k?

Congrats, canadiancow!^

I guess ~ half of those miles were from EYW?

Funnily enough, I only received the e-mail for a family member, but not myself.

The vast majority of those miles were from Earn Your Wings.

My bonuses were 500k+500k+400k = 1.4 million.

Regular EYW miles were probably on the order of 500k.

Then 100k/year plus 100% bonus, and some other stuff here and there.

It was my 15 year Aeroplan anniversary apparently, which is why I got it.

It's just hard to believe that 4 years ago, I flew maybe 2-3 (North American) trips per year, and had a lifetime Aeroplan balance that had just broken 5 figures

Wow, so bad, you still have 600K left you noob~!

At first, I'd think that you are doing exactly what AE wants (allowing them to at least book revenue right away).

But then I think about your routing and think that AE probably wants to stop your ability to redeem them LOL

No, that was as of the date of the email. I've since used ~180k, and I have another booking with 160k that I may or may not fly.

So only 285k left

Actually, that's just the pure AQM

As it comes to AE miles, I've earned over 5 million during that period

But I don't thank FT for that... I thank the dozen or so current posters in the past year or so, and primarily the posters from a decade ago who barely post anymore.
