YHZ-ANC Availability

I am looking at YHZ-ANC flights on July 1st. They are AC7671, AC111, and AC538. AC is now only selling Flex U fares for these flights at over $1000 one way. I find it hard to believe that that they are down to U fares for flights on July 1st. Could someone who has expertflyer please confirm the booking classes available on these flights? Thanks, its very much appreciated. May have to look over to UA for reasonable prices.

Nuts. That's double what my RT ANC ticket costs on another carrier.

(feel free to PM if you want details)

Awesome thanks. I'm guessing its an IT glitch that no Tango and low flex are showing? (maybe they just really want my money) I'd gladly snatch up those G fares if they ever show up on the website. Thankfully I've got a little time to wait it out, but the sooner I can figure this out the better. It's a family vacation so $1000 one way per person would definitely not fly.

I really dont understand the need to book flights solely on ac.com

These flights are $773 on many OTAs.

Furthermore, AA can be had for $459 and UA for $623 one way.

Never really been a fan of booking through 3rd parties. Have done it a few times though. $770 is a little better, but I think ill probably take my business to another airline.

I was looking at going to ANC for first weekend of August and had the same problem, AC was only selling expensive Flex fares. Minimum of about $750 each way, in Y. Booked DL in J instead for just over $900 return.

Where? A Google Flights search shows FlightNetwork offering it for that price, but as with any great deals shown on Google Flights by FlightNetwork, it's illusory and not actually bookable. Expedia is the same price as AC.com ($1074). Orbitz is about $1000 after converting to CAD.

I'd definitely encourage you to look at other airlines, but the one thing to keep in mind is AC offers the shortest travel time and gets you to ANC early in the afternoon. All of the cheaper options require a lot more travel time, get you into ANC much later in the day or both.

Up to you. Happy hunting.

Don't ask me why, but for the first time ever I could find a price better than ITA shows. The $773 is what ITA shows and is a Q fare. Perfectly bookable on AC.com using powertools in Chrome.

Just a quick update. So it looks like AC is now selling that flight combination on their website for $1400 one way per person, as Flex M. Luckily I found those exact flights on UA.com as codeshare for ~$600, and books into Flex W. While I can do better than $600 with AA, they don't offer nearly as good flight times, or connections as these do. So in the end I'm getting the flights I wanted for a better price. Thanks to everyone who offered their advice, and suggestions. I really appreciate it.
