Drappier has low/no dosage, which I like better than the one AC had.

But yes, the LP remains the only drinkable offering. My wife is picky, she won't touch the other wines. Curses me for still having some of the crap. :-)

Boeing 777-300ER
Meal: lunch, snack

Menu - not sure why they called it "dinner" when the scheduled departure time was 13.25

Appetizer and salad

Salad and Aperol Spritz

Main - salmon, curry sauce was very mild

Dessert - cake

Pre-arrival snack - I didn't like it. Wish they had some choices instead of a single tray of cold plate and fruit

Service was average, food was average. Flight was delayed 55min due to ATC at ZRH.

Beyond the reason of menu consistency. "Dinner" refers to the main meal of the day regardless of when it is served. "Supper" is more specific to an evening meal.

Dinner for lunch and supper for dinner seems to be popular Brit, at least in some locations. Similarly in French, in some regions such as Belgium, colloquial is dejeuner for breakfast, diner for lunch and souper for dinner.

This is a common British use of the word but not very common in North America. It can lead to some confusion (though I don't think find this particular instance confusing) such as when I first worked in the UK and was asked by the receptionist when I was microwaving something for lunch "do you often have a dinner for lunch?". I didn't know how to answer that.

What I find a bit surprising, though obviously it's not unique to AC, is that airlines and indeed airports don't seem to have a "travellers may be on a different time zone" attitude/pretense. If I were coming at this without experience I would expect restaurants and lounges in airports to serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner meals all day long. And airlines to have some nod towards the same thing to whatever degree is practical.

AC 6 NRT - YUL July 29

Champagne was well chilled and food was good, although the steak was a bit dry.

Apologies some of the photos are poor quality.

Aperol spritz was nice and the FA was really worried she wouldn't make it well as it seems in classic AC fashion they never got told how to make the drink.

Tuna app was nice.

Short rib was actually really good although slightly lukewarm.

Coconut passionfruit tart was average.

Breakfast is ... Well... The same omelette for the past few years lol

YYZ-BCN Spicy Clamato and nuts cannot go wrong 9/10

Decent dish, I am not a fan of Fish, Garlic bread was nice and warm 8/10

This was the highlight, (pre-ordered) the Hawksworth Signature dish , Parmesan Coated Chicken was a large portion , juicy and Delish. My 20 + J class flights the past 24 months, this was the best dish tasted. I used the butter for bread on the mashed potatoes to enhance the side. 10/10

Baileys is back! 9/10

Hard to F up fruit 8/10

This was surprisingly good. Way better than Air France's Omelette. 8/10

Bread was warned which was good 😁
Beef cheeks tender so that's a plus. Didnt have dessert.
Cold pre arrival tuna was ok. Kinda wish there was a hot food pre landing considering it's a 10hr flight.
