How early can I check in at the airport? (2022 onwards)
Hi,
I have a domestic AC flight departing YVR at 21:30 and I'm wondering if I can drop off the bag in the morning and go to the outlet village to shop and then head to the airport?

There is a baggage storage place downstairs in the domestic baggage claim area. I think it's like $10 to store your suitcase: CDS Baggage YVR https://www.yvr.ca/en/passengers/sho...d-services/276

I think I'll be at YVR 4h before the scheduled departure time, that should give me enough time. I'll be taking public transport from Surrey so it will take some times to get to YVR anyway.

Check in baggage the night before?
Hi. What times are the check in desks open for AC in T2? Can I check in/drop bags the night before and morning flight? TIA

"Generally" they will not accept bags more then 4 hours in advance. However I have successfully dropped bags domestically 6 hours in advance. No experience doing this at LHR. The overnight may reduce your odds at success but could be worth a try - just dont leave anything in those bags you "desperately" need on arrival in the event they get misplaced.

FWIW, LH does offer prior night check-in / bag-drop services at LHR.

This may not be of any help, but I recently couldn't check in for a morning flight online but was able to use the automated machines about 10pm or so, no one from AC in sight. I didn't have bags to drop but could have printed tags and dropped them in the morning. So check in is at least an option if the concern is morning rush/eup priority and online/app isn't working (as it wasn't for me).

My flight is from YUL to YVR via YYC on a Sunday at 13:30 - I wonder if I can check in around T-13 around midnight at AC counter? Or do I have to wait till that morning to check in my bags?

Unfortunately you will not be able to check your bag more than 4 hours before the departure time of your flight. I know someone who discovered it the hard way and had to wait landslide before joining me in the lounge

Per AC:
You may check your bags at the baggage drop-off counter at the earliest:
- 4 hours prior to departure for flights from Canada or the U.S.
- 3 hours prior to departure for flights from all other locations.

My memory is hazy but IIRC there are automated luggage check ins. That could work, but it's possible that when it scans the luggage tag that it is coded not to accept it (ie: greater than 3 hours)
