Well to me 175 dollars for lounge access isn't worth it to me. I don't absolutely need access, it's nice to visit it once in a while, but not compulsory.

oh I dunno, perhaps you could familiarize yourself with past threads of historic proportions (or have you done that already?!)?

If that is the case , then ganging up on someone for style vs substance and not responding to the issue presented is just childish and meanspirited. Do we know 'shore9'? It's one thing to debate an issue, another to personalise it.

You're kidding, right? (rhetorical question )

You don't want to apply "not responding to the issue presented" in this context. If the OP responded to queries/debates/comments/questions sent his way rather than just ignoring them and responding on something unrelated, we wouldn't all be having this discussion.

Again:

Point: Terrorists attack the US due to them controlling nuclear weapons.

Counterpoint: So, why do they also have Holland, Morocco, and Canada on their hit list?

No response.

Just one example of dozens, if not hundreds.

No kidding.

shore, where's the logic? Pay $175 for lounge access or more than a $1000 to buy upgradable fares?

Whatever...

i'm not debating the fact that shore9 regularly gives bad advice/incorrect info/inane posts. he should be repeatedly poked in the eye with a thumb tac for these transgressions. however, what i want to know is why he gets slammed for sitting up front. i know many families that will only fly their kids in C/F.

case in a point, there was a thread awhile ago he started about his upgrade chances on a particular flight. now granted that was a totally pointless thread as he had already done his research, but there was a mention about using the money he paid for a higher fare to invest in RRSP instead. what was that all about?

i support shore9 bashing as much as some of you regulars, but let's cut him some slack and let him enjoy his executive class seat.

I asked ohbahsan the question because I wasn't sure if he knew about the history of said member's posts. How did I gang up on him? I didn't.

Having said that, the said member was removed from FT for a "time out", in case you happen to forget. Obviously members of a higher power thought that he deserved one, and for good reason. The evidence is all there. He says stupid things, and so he gets what he deserves. If you can't handle our so-called "attacks" against him, I suggest perhaps you take a time out from this forum (or you can picket outside RP's place and demand that 95% of our non-conforming threads be removed and 99% of us all get banned).
Heck, look at Luubert -- he answered said member's original question because said member didn't make an a$$ of himself. Sounds pretty fair to me.

Understood. Once the search engine is backup and running, perhaps we could do a thorough search of all past major threads that has caused such raucus and analyze them so that you can get a better understanding of how all this started. I'll take a day off, because that's how much time one will need.

How did we gang up on him? Shore made a comment which myself and many other members found to be unacceptable and we posted our reaction to it. We never took things off-topic or said anything to purposely gang on shore. As nomad mentioned I didn't say anything offending to shore when he first asked his original question I just answered it like anyother FTer would. Then shore came out with his rude comment. Seems to me like he got what he paid for.
