Endless ACTV advertising does have one small benefit... at least the advertising is all at the beginning and not spread out through the middle of the shows.
On a recent flight from YEG, there were several ads to which I paid no particular attention to. However, after the show started I realized it was an episode that I've already seen. So I decided to look for another show to watch.
Well, here are the commercials...
- Park Inn, Radisson Hotels & Country Inn & Suites
- Air Canada Vacations
- Mark's Work Warehouse Never Iron Perfectly Pressed shirts... ya right!
- AC Vacations / Cancun, Mexico
- The Keg Steakhouse
- Hilton Honours
This took about 3 minutes.
Not sure about the Never Iron shirts... does anyone have a shirt from MWW?

Saw those ads over the holidays on regular TV and also curious about these shirts. If they're all cotton, might be worth picking up for traveling. See, we can really discover things by watching commercials!

What, people iron shirts? Learned about that in history at school.
Got married 25 years ago, that did not work (marriage worked, still married to same person, but no free home based shirt service!!) so went for a shirt service. Costs less than a daily trip to starbucks!!
now my co-worker tried for the home based shirt service. Married 25 years like me but took him 3 wives. 10 years wife 1, 12 years wife 2 and now 3 years and he uses the shirt service.. looks like this 1 will last. Should have used the shirt service 25 years ago!!

That's what the dry cleaners are for... especially with our Wednesday loonie t-shirt offers! Still less than a daily trip to Starbucks!
One latte vs. 5 nicely pressed shirts! I'll take both!

Colours are a bit limited, but all in all not too bad.

what pisses me off about the lack of forwarding thru ads is how on every AC flight i've taken this past year, they had to "reset" the system for other passengers whose console crashed.
which means i have to restart my movie and i have to sit through 5 minutes of ads that i've already seen and have no interest in the product/service advertised in said ads.

Flew yesterday and I could FF through the 3 minutes of commercials. Three quick taps on the FF button and I was set.
