I'm glad all worked out for you with Aeroplan and extended your status. Did they allow you the pick benefits, or just give you the standard elite ones?

Margarita Girl - oh, that would be better if it were true. In that case, I suppose I overreacted. I thought he was being rude, especially because I was updating my post as promised, so that others may benefit from this information in the future. I wasn't trying to be meanspirited at all. If he posted that he was getting his status extended for whatever reason, I can't imagine being bitter about it. I would think - good for him! All the better when people get what they can from AC. I thought it was a bit OTT that he implied that I'm, I don't know, part of a sexist conspiracy?

At any rate, I've been on many flights where I'm the only woman in J (or worse 1st) and thus ignored - lots of ME and Asia trips, I'm sure you can imagine. So frankly, *gender bias* is not something I really want to start a discussion on... nor is it at all relevant in this case.

Going to pour myself a margarita now! =)
