Route: DEN-SEA
Flight #: AS682 - 12:15PM Departure
Description: Ancient Grain Bowl
Snack Basket Offered: NO

Warm nuts served with the first round of drinks. The fall grain bowl was very bland, served in a very hot bowl. Salt helped it a bit. Butter pecan cookie offered about 45 minutes prior to landing.

Date: January 24, 2022
Route: SEA-ANC
Flight #: AS109 - 6:15 PM Departure
Description: Roasted Chicken
Snack Basket Offered: Yes

Warm nuts served with the entree. I could not identify what the "dessert" was. Some sort of oatmeal cookie maybe. Chicken was a bit dry, as usual. No warm cookie since there was the plated dessert. Snack basket brought around about halfway into the flight.

I was looking at my Facebook memories and noticed that ten years ago (January 25, 2012) Alaska officially announced that it was removing the infamous prayer cards from first class meals effective February 1st. It's amazing how quickly time passes.

It'll be my first time flying AS on Thursday. I'm on AS3457, LAX-SLC at 2.40pm on an E175. What I can expect in F for a short mid-afternoon flight on a small plane? The 'Food' option on my trip page on the app is greyed out.

Had the fall grain bowl, served hot. It was good, but had no sides.
snack basket came around once, and butter pecan cookies were distributed hot with about 30 minutes to go.

Other main options were F&C and protein platter, so I guess it was a "snack" flight.

I have to start remembering to keep Sriracha and Tapatio packets in my carry on.

Sorry if this is a silly question but if we're flying first class out of Seattle, will we have access to the airport lounge?

Depends-- See https://www.alaskaair.com/content/ai...cies-and-rules

Passengers traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket* on flights operated by Alaska Airlines have access to Alaska Lounge locations only on their day of flight. These fares do not include entrance for family or guests not traveling in First Class. These fares also do not include entrance agreements into other airline clubrooms. To access the Alaska Lounge, passengers must show their same-day First Class boarding pass to the Alaska Lounge Staff. Passengers upgraded to First Class, (booked in U class of service) whether complimentary, paid, or using miles do not have complimentary access to the Alaska Lounge.
*applies to fares booked in C, D, E, J, or I class.

If you booked your AS first class flight as an award you will have access to all Alaska Lounges along your route.

If you used your miles to upgrade a Main cabin purchased ticket to first class, you will not have lounge access.

Two flights!

Date: 1/27/22
Route: SEA-SAN
Flight #: AS482 - 6 AM Departure
Choices: Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich, Fruit and Cheese, or Kiwi Strawberry Yogurt Bowl
Snack Basket Offered: NO

I tried the turkey breakfast sandwich this time. Description: Warmed breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage, fried egg, and Montamore cheese with pesto served on a Bistro Bun

Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

Date: 1/27/22
Route: SAN-OGG
Flight #: AS829 - 10:50 AM Departure
Choices: Fruit and Cheese, Kalbi Short ribs Or Autumn Squash Grain Bowl
Snack Basket Offered: Yes (1.5 hours prior to landing)

Warm nuts served with glassware. The short ribs was probably one of the best dishes Ive had while flying Alaska first class. Only complaint is the rice was a little salty. Description:
Sous vide short rib with kalbi marinade, served butter and herb basmati rice, and roasted pacific island vegetables

Kalbi Short Ribs
