When are upgrades clearing these days?

100k here. Markedly later clearance times since the in-app upgrade feature. Routine clearances at T-24 are now T-2 or T-0. One unfortunate result is the inability to pre-order your meal (or decide how much to eat pre-departure), so you get what you get.

I got upgraded recently about T-2, email notification and all, but was added to the standby list, waiting for a seat assignment. Thats not good. There were no seats available, F had been F0 for hours. Thank goodness I talked to someone quickly as my original exit row seat was now up for grabs and the F cabin was already checked in full, so I was inevitably going back to coach. I probably would have been in a bad situation seating wise. Agent at the gate was just as confused as I was, and had to call some specialists to help resolve it. She was apologetic that this would happen to a 100K and left perplexed. They quickly blocked my original seat, but I went without a seat assignment until boarding began. Alaska IT is very bizarre.

I think my only solution here is to hire an IT guy to hack AS IT on my behalf - making me an AS MVPG Teraflop Concierge Medallion Iridium.
Not only can I sit wherever the **** I want, the plane goes where I prefer.

Seven seats open in F on SFO-ORD, and we get upgraded at T-20. Five seats open in F on ORD-SFO, and we get upgraded at T-70. 👀 Could it be because I being a 75K was the only Gold or over?
