Data point: I purchased gift cards to home depot through the site. Haven't gotten credit for them yet. Used those gift cards to order something from homedepot.com through the site. Got my shipment, no miles yet. Had to return the item to store because it didn't fit, however i received a mile deduction for the purchase in my aa eshopping account today. Still no credits for the initial gift card purchase or the product purchase with those gift cards. Since they took miles away for the return, i expect for the credits to show up too. I have had success buying the gift cards and getting miles before, but haven't tried buying something through the site using those gift cards and getting more miles (WIN!)

So - homedepot.com, buy gift cards through site using SPG card (3m/$ eshopping, 1.25 SPG), use gift cards to buy item through site (3 more m/$). Total = 7.25 miles per $!

That blue banner is an indication you have done it all correctly and will get your AA miles for spending.

Works for me!
I believe this is only on Windows. On Macs, just start out at the AAEshopping site and click through to the merchant from there. There's no visual indication but it has worked fine for me.

I missed the 950 promo but 650 still seems like a good deal. What do you think?

If you're right, then I just wasted $2.99 by using a virtual credit card number.
If you read the FAQ is says the card registering is only needed for in-store purchases or catalogs so they can tie it to your account.

Any card used on the website is fine regardless of it being registered.

Apparently the 950 miles posted as "pending" to my eShopping account on 12/3. I don't normally log-in to check, so I didn't even know. Got the "You Have Earned Miles" from eShopping today.

^ Thanks again, OP, for this find!

GC question

Has anyone tried thinkgeek or peet's for gift cards? They are not specifically excluded, so I'm wondering if anyone has actually seen credit.

Thanks,

-er

For something like this, I never understand what the "pending" stage is all about. If the game company reported this to Aadvantageeshopping already, then why the further delay?

Has anyone proceeded from this status to actually getting the miles yet?
