Booked 2 J LAS-FRA one way for 66k in July. Hopefully will get something on a somewhat good deal coming back. But don’t mind paying BA fuel surcharge if necessary for one way especially since the flight over seems to be a steal. Also I find when I some times look close in there are good flights available. So may look as the day approaches and see if there are better options. Easy to add a few days home in Europe even last minute.

During slack travel periods, I'm seeing Economy Class awards for trans-Atlantic travel from different parts of the Mainland U.S. for 19K miles + $5.60. From JFK to LHR during such periods, Business Class and Premium Economy can also be very reasonably priced.

Lately AA seems to be back to releasing cheap flights at ~360 days in advance between USA and Europe. 54K is the cheapest ideal for a biz one-way (and I suspect cheaper for a RT but basically impossible to do since the return isn’t bookable when you buy/hold the outbound and by the time the return is bookable the outbound is more expensive so you just have to book one-ways).
One odd behavior is that if you’re buying for 2 people then it can be cheaper to book them individually. Eg one person is 54K but 2 is 64K. Now I get that this isn’t surprising if you’re buying the last of a given fare, so maybe you buy/hold the first person and now the fare is 74K or more for the second, but often the fare for the 2nd person is still 54K.
