I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

Delta 2 MM Diamond here who just finished 3 flights on AA in paid F. Pathetic. Is this the norm?

MCO-MIA 767-300: not only no pre-flight service, they kept the curtain closed during boarding on the starboard side. The few times a flight attendant used the curtain, another flight attendant would quickly close it. I counted 3 FA's in the forward galley when I boarded and went to sit in 4J. Didn't get any type of service until 20 minutes from landing in MIA.

MIA-PHL A330-300. No acknowledgement (like previous flight). And, again, well over an hour to get any interaction from time I sat down in 1K.

PHL-LAS A321. Best one yet. Two flight attendants at forward door. One said hello on boarding - the other stood there and played on her phone for 10 minutes. Neither ever raised a leg during pre-boarding. Lead F/A came around after pushback to ask what we wanted once in the air.

Gotta tell you - AA not even in same league with DL if you're just comparing pre-board F service. Not only was there no service -- there was no acknowledgement!!! Really poor.

The LAA is not a shock, but the 2 LUS flights without a warm hello and PDB is troubling. Generally speaking the LUS FA's are really wonderful and provide great service. Let's hope this doesn't become the norm.

Unfortunately, yes. This is absolutely the norm for most pmAA crews. The pmUS crews tend to be better, but there are still some rotten eggs there too, from what it seems, many are from the PHL base.

AA1525 12/23 PDX-DFW - LAA - nothing offered despite being catered. AA crews simply don't do PDBs IME, despite what is advertised.
