I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Full #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

Complain with your wallet.

I do agree there's really no point in adding to this thread. AA doesn't care (at least for now),

I've switched all of my premium business to DL and Sky team and could not be happier. The only AA flights I have left this year are those booked in O/Q and upgraded to C using my SWUs.

AA wants to train us to buy F if we want F? Not a problem!! Happy to do so, but it sure as h-ll won't be on AA when their competition offers far superior service and products, including PDB.

That's the point - YOU shouldn't have to ask. FA's should proactively take your order.

This ^

I've gotten to the point that my business lets me buy F when it is appropriate (long flights followed by immediate business at destination). Since June every F booking I've made has been DL or B6 (Mint is my new favorite domestic F product). I used the last of my SWUs in November (did receive full PDBs) and that was pretty much the end of my AA spending. I'm rather enjoying being a free agent. Now I just pick the best product and best routing for my business travel.

What evolution? I think I said from the beginning it's an entitlement. There was never a question about who should be fulfilling the entitlement. "Entitlement" means something to which you are entitled and something that should be provided. The part I'm struggling with is the goal of exchanging notes about it here instead of writing to American. Maybe American reads this thread more than I think?

By the way, I enjoy reading your twitter feed. It's good fun and informative.

Perfectly said....this plus so many other reasons I refuse to pay for AA premium cabin travel and am letting my 4 SWUs expire in Feb.

Best. AA. Service. Ever.

1/26/17 AA102 pmAA HNL-DFW Full PDB.

And let me add WOW! Outstanding service throughout the redeye flight. Walked the cabin. Proactively offered drinks,. On par with LH/QR/SQ/TG. (Really no BS!) This crew rocked! From the joking pre-departure to the service throughout, this crew was world class.

They gave a speech without the mike predeparture 'dont be shy to press the call button for a drink during the flight'. I have never seen before on AA !!! No AA crew has EVER stood at this level in AA/US Business Class. Bravo. Well done.

I will be the first to rip a crew. And hopefully, the first to say well done. If all AA crews were at this level, goodbye DL, goodbye UA. (Yes, applause certs given. And I literally shook hands with them as I left.) Best. Damn. AA. Crew. Ever. Stupid good!

Excellent job Mike and crew. (They fly this route regularly.)

Why the sarcasm? Withdrawing your business from AA is by far the most meaningful way to send a message if you're unhappy with their service. Certainly moreso than kvetching on Flyertalk.

Every time I see a post like this, I can't help but think that the poster is someone who has no problem taking his or her customer's cash, providing only part of the goods or services promised, and doing nothing about it.

I can't imagine even thinking about running my business that way.

I meant in regards to letting the SWUs expire, I doubt AA cares at all about that. Of course withdrawing your business sends some sort of other message, but to be honest, for every person leaving AA, someone is leaving DL or UA.

I think the obvious implication in AANYC1981's post was a withdrawal of business from AA, not continuing to patronize them but refusing to apply SWUs out of some misplaced spite.
