I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

So there you have it.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG No #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Full #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

I will be Tweeting AA anytime this laziness happens now that I've joined Twitter. I have ZERO upcoming trips on AA though (on purpose) because of BS like this stuff.

This could be something worth tweeting as well. I'm not sure anyone is keeping stats, but the team does seem to have access to concerned groups. I'm sure there is a bean-counter there just waiting to build a new spreadsheet to feed management more numbers.

If this is the preferred method of contact with AA now, then I will do the same. I need to learn how to use Twitter though, so I suppose I'll make that a project of mine next week!

It's one they seem to be paying attention to, so would be wise to learn. Understand you can stay on the PC/Mac and do not need to tie in your phone, but that does give you a more portable connection. It would be really nice if they would open twitter.com on GoGo or provide a portal via AA.com so inflight issues can be reported as they happen and not depend upon doing so once landing.

I'm on a phone/iPad 90% of the time so I'll just download the app and use that the most probably. I doubt they'd ever open it up on GoGo on a complimentary basis just so that they can be called on their service failures, but I agree that would be a nice feature.

Anyone thought of a hashtag for this? Perhaps #nopdbaa or something more descriptive?

I'm gonna guess #PoorAAService will be seen differently.

I don't hashtag, but #PDB_AAWOL seems fairly apt.

#trAAshtag?

Perhaps though we should stick with the company issued #goingforgreat, wouldn't want to venture too far off the official party line.

Select PDB (OJ, GJ, water or champagne) on ICN-DFW leg, and full PDB on DFW-ATL leg yesterday. Both were AA-operated.

7/25 DFW-SNA flt 222. No PDB. Boarded on time, so no issues with lack of time.

I've had beer for a PDB several times. Sometimes, a beer is just what the doctor ordered. Hot, stressful afternoon. Or perhaps I've had a beer in the Lounge and don't want to switch type of alcohol.
Evening flights will most likely be a sippy drink like Bailey's or Kahlua and cream.
But sometimes, on a quick turnaround, we're lucky to get a PDB at all so you'd really have to chug a beer quickly.

Now that is too much. Are you really saying that not getting a drink and having to wait half an hour, is worse than an infectious disease which kills at least 50% of those who are infected with it?

You misread it. He means that there isn't a PDB in existence which is worse than Ebola, a statement I'm sure you can agree with.
