OZ Trip

Hello:

Flying for the first time on Asiana in Business Class with my mom and was wondering if anyone had any tidbits or random interesting facts/information I should know about flying them. Also if anyone knows how to tell what B777 one is flying on as it looks like there is some confusion/difference between Business and Business Smartinum?

Itinerary:

OZ177/15SEPHNDICN cnx
OZ711/15SEPICNTPE

I suppose we would use a NH lounge in HND and an OZ lounge in ICN?

Many thanks in advance for any advice/input to make this an enjoyable experience.

Those are such short flights that even QS seats wouldn't make it too special.

For the flight from HND to ICN, I believe it is a 777 without any QS seats. Business class will be good seats, but just not the QS. But besides that, you will probably have a decent meal service. Also, at that early hour, I am not sure if the HND lounge is open. Anyone know? If it is open, it is a very good lounge. Food selection and quality is very good. Probably better than what you can find in OZ F lounge!

We are flying the exact same flights next week, also in business, but with the ANA flight from LAX to HND with only a 70-minute connecting time. Getting very anxious that we will miss the flight to ICN.

Connections at HND are very easy and quick. Just have your next boarding pass or flight info ready. I think you will have no problem making the connection, unless of course there is some sort of weather delay.

We are on the morning OZ177 flight from HND to ICN... it is showing as an A321 which I thought was odd; I would have guessed it would be a widebody.

The ANA website shows that the ANA lounge at HND opens at 0630 but if you are on a codeshare it opens earlier. Does anyone know if ANA codeshares on OZ177?

You have to fly NRT-ICN in order to get widebodies, and even if it listed as widebody, it could still change to narrowbody frequently for this route last minute.

Once again, your flight is not even 3 hours long and barely 2.30 hours for ICN-TPE, is it really that important which business class would be ? Once you finish your meal and they collect the tray, you are about to land.

There is no guranteed which config would be as it is short haul intra-asia, only long haul does.
