767-300 J Seating

Hi

I haven't been on one for a while and have a booking to Athens coming up. I don't understand the seat map compared to seat guru though.

On seat guru it looks like the middle seats are 3 seats and on the seat selection it looks like 2 seats.

What are the best seats in this cabin?

thanks

hingeless

ps i know i could spend a few hours searching for this but i don't feel well

I'm pretty sure it's 2 / 2 / 2 seating (AB / EF / JK) - not having yet flown on one myself.

Mrs PtF flew CAI-LHR 48 hrs ago on a BA B763 for the first time - and reported her CW seat (1A) to be quite narrow compared to those on 744s/772s.

How many rows are available? If there are only 1-4 and only in the forward cabin then it's a long haul CW config. If not its the standard CE config where the middle seat of the centre row is squashed and not used. There should be more room in the centre seats as you'll have a free one between you and the next passenger. ( not sure of exact seat numbers)

It is 2 - 2 - 2, but the middle pair have a free seat between them, so it's actually 2 - 3 - 2, but the middle seat is unsold.

This does mean the window pairs do not have a gap between them, as on the A3xx and 737 CE configs.

Its is 9 rows. I'm wondering if row 1 middle pear or a window is better

EDIT: this is all assuming s/h config (is it, though??!)

Two window seats (A & B or J & K) are good, you'll be right next to each other.

Two centre seats (E & F) are also good if you want a bit more space, there's a mini empty seat between E and F.

Personally I don't like bulkhead seats, so I would avoid the very first row, but YMMV.

I would take one of the two in the centre block and be sure to choose rows 1-4 just in case a longhaul aircraft is substituted.

The arm rests in the '3' are moved inwards so the middle seat is not only unsold but would also be too small (much narrower than Y) to sit in.
