Looking at the article they claim the introduction of Plus fares were part of the race to the bottom. I disagree, I resented the enhancement of no seat selection on HBO fares but the plus fares also added flexibility at a reasonable price so made them worth buying. I think these Plus fares and Theoretical Seating are two good things to come out of 2016 with BA.
