Interesting BA 777 Movement tonight

Just came across this on FR - I assume a Cargo shuttle?

Jet itself just back from a few Shanghai legs, so I’m guessing it’s pressed into service for cargo on these as well?

yeh, almost certainly cargo. For the 747 fans G-BYGF did Larnaca as a cargo rotation a couple of days ago. Looked like it got pushed out of Turkish airspace for some reason.

I saw it going to MUC earlier today. From the garden and on Flightradar :-) There are also similar flights to FRA on B777. I looked through LHR and FRA/MUC flights and I don't think BA is flying passengers on these routes at the moment. Lufthansa is still operating scheduled flights.

I think Shanghai is cargo only, it seems to have been operating for a few days now. You can track it on FR24 but shows as cancelled on BA app.
The same is true for HND, HKG and ICN.

I noticed on FR earlier a 777 flying LHR-MUC with a BA3xxx flight number. This flight seems to have a regular number, so was the rotation cargo outbound, passengers return?

Yes, a report including an interesting short video piece from the aircraft captain in the Cyprus Mail:

I was waiting for the bit where he said "as well as the animals we're also loading..." but it didn't happen. Oh well.
