September 2021 flight cancellations and operational changes
Two days ago (and a year on from our last flights) I rebooked a HAM-LHR-HAM trip from May to September, hoping that Germany's vaccination programme might have reached my not-very-young age cohort by then.
Today I got a cancellation email: BA is already trimming HAM flights six months out (specifically: BA 974 on 21.09.). Sad times.

I just had return flights between LHR-AMS (BA438) and LHR-LIN (BA574/575) cancelled for the weekend of 10-12 Sep. A bit surprised, given that it’s almost 6 months out...

My BA1407 MAN - LHR (19:35) has been cancelled in September. Still 4 flights a day going on this route with the latest at 15:55 so its a shame they have cancelled the evening rotation. This has an impact on people doing stopovers before a long haul the next morning. Lady at YouFirst mentioned this is happening a lot on domestic routes at the moment.

My BA992 LHR BER 9th September has been cancelled. Seems that LHR BER has been cut to 4 x daily from the previous 6/7.
Been offered the BA982 a few hours earlier, which wouldn't really work for us, so going to leave the cancellation on the booking until closer to the time and see what happens covid wise.

BA778 LHR-ARN canceled on September 15. A bit annoyed as the first flight at 07-something is too early to connect from the US and the next flight is now 13:20 wasting the whole day traveling. No real other alternative, so will just sit on the cancelation until later in the year.

Our 07:00 INV-LHR on 8th September has been cancelled and the option offered of 15:35 didn’t work with our 14:15 LHR-SFO. It was no problem to change to depart from EDI (where we live) instead for no extra charge. These are reward flights and we were going ex INV to save the taxes since my father stays there but things worked out well for us - assuming the world is approaching normal by then.

Not September related but have you seen the EDI to LHR flights on 3 October. 3 flights at 05.55/06.50 & 07.40 then nothing to Heathrow for the rest of the day. All the rest of the flights that day to LCY.. Probably explains no I 0r R availability on BA8707 to LCY..

My SFO-LHR flight BA284, September 5th, no longer shows up as bookable on BA.
2 flights that day now down to one 787 flight BA286
Still shows up in MMB though.
I wonder how long it will take for that to change?

They really are pacing ahead. I cant believe the US is (most likely) going to remain shut.

Yes, you are correct and I was too quick to post.
Just got off the phone with BA and it was indeed the fact I searched for CW which is sold out!
My mistake.
Did notice the fare for F on BA 286 was a cool $12,000+!
