You tend to forget, it's two sided so it's not just the UK you need to look at. There's been agreement on S22 slot relief globally between the Industry groups (IATA, ACI, WWACG). How regulators outside the EU will look at this will be interesting.

Having done some research on the LGW slots their press statement said medium term and in a reply to a journalist, U2 said ‘BA are unlikely to want us to have them for 15 years’, on that basis I don’t think it is likely just this year’s season and may be for a few years with EasyJet hoping to extend for longer.
This does make me less hopeful for a quick development snd expansion of EuroFlyer.
