Definitely it's not only me, then. Maybe next time I'm going to politely tell the people manning the bar that there are some issue with the sparkling water provided.

Just to add pictures of the scallops and the chocolate mousse which I dont think have been captured on here before. Both really excellent, as was the belly pork. Was a bit surprised when the mousse was presented- was expecting something more along the lines of the current CW dessert but pleasantly surprised!!

First visit since early January and the food menu has improved.
I ended up having second thoughts on the pork belly, but the order was already sent in so I ended up trying the pork and cod.
First go with the Cuve Louise. 👍🏼 Well balanced (unlike the Noble, which has the love it or hate it taste based on my current PDB).
A hearty portion! This is definitely 870 calories. Paired well with the Shiraz.
I was on the fence ordering it, but it was well done. I can see how this dish could flop if not brought out right away.
Agree that while a very good dish, light on the scallops. Ill ask for four next time.
Ended up having some extra time due to a delay and tried the pasta. It was fine and quite lite portion-wise.

I quite like the pasta. The "chocolate mousse" was nothing like what I was expecting and TBH I probably won't bother ordering it again.
Am I the only person who knows about the 'quiet room'? I seem to the be the only person there whenever I go there! It's like a lounge within a lounge. Love the little 'service' button

Ended up having a 2-for-1 CCR visit as last nights 239 was nixed. Despite skipping breakfast at Sofitel (aside from of a takeaway coffee), I couldnt face off against the bacon chop.
Had to add the fruit to keep it healthy.
Couldnt resist (a glass of) Louise.
Errant soup, but no complaints as I probably would have ordered it before heading out. A tad salty, but I also dont add salt to anything.
As an aside, BAs IRROPS handling was sub-optimal as MMB didnt provide me with any options 😂. Fortunately I had the YouFirst line (mixed success, but at least secured some fights) and lucked out with an agent in baggage claim who knew how to ticket as I read off options from EF.

No menu to post but I still enjoy the terrace afternoon tea (and self serve champagne) the most about the CCR, if you can time your flights to catch it. From yesterday:
Don Julio 1942 (chilled) is a nice digestif, too.

Im hoping the jam on the left scone surface is a bit of spillage and not a jam first affair. 😳
