Nespresso in First - What else?

Is the coffee served in First Nespresso?

I'd swear it tastes just like the coffee my Nespresso machine produces.

Either way, I enjoy the coffee served in First!

It is indeed an especially adapted Nespresso machine. I think the coffee capsules used are Roma.

It is indeed the ROMA capsules that are used in first, and is nespresso ! CW is normal coffee in a large bag that we put in a pot. ( never have really look at the brand as it not something i usually drink at home) Enjoy your coffee in first, I have a nespresso machine at home and love it too!

I don't work very well until my first Nespresso of the day! With out doubt the most relaible & consistent coffee machine I have ever owned. Plus I think the ads with George Clooney are quite funny. Maybe instead of taking PJ's and the odd blanket, a few Roma capsules should find their way into my bag next flight!

Actually perhaps we shouldn't say we like it too much or it may go the same way as the Bollinger!

The CW coffee is undrinkable, so don't even try it. It's made with a large coffee bag placed in a pot full of water. Leave to brew until it's the correct colour.

Just a 'cheap' Krups machine. Consistently decent coffee without any hassle. A very impressive product.

I don't drink any other coffee on BA. It is rather disappointing!

I have the cheap Magimix machine. A friend of mine has a super expensive one built into his kitchen. They both produce fantastic coffee.

My top Nespresso tip is to draw a cup of hot water out of the machine before you make your first coffee of that 'session' as that flushes the machine with hot water and gets the pump up to full pressure.

On a separate point, the pods used in commercial machines differ from those in a home machines so no point in 'liberating' any from the pointy end.

Totally agree. Even when travelling in J I have often chatted up the CSD and got them to bring me an espresso as a favour. Never been refused. Incidentally Nespresso in J is a major advantage that VS has over BA.

I'd guess that Nespresso (or another similar system with cups) is the only way to make espresso on a plane. I can't imagine messing around with a regular espresso machine in the galley... Though a 'bean-to-cup' machine could work
