Discussion of the discontinued Sears MasterCards which earn ThankYou Points has been moved to a separate thread, HERE.
Application link for the Shop Your Way (SYW) MasterCard is HERE.
Accumulating points, expiration, and redemptions:
You can accumulate SYW points in some of the following methods:
Not all points have the same expiration timeframe. Some bonus/incentive points expire in 30 days or less. Most are 1 year. You can check in the SYW app, or the shopyourway.com website. Make sure to redeem the points before they expire!!!!
Redemptions:
You can only redeem $200 worth per day. So if you redeem for a $200 GC, you have to wait until the next day to make another redemption of any amount.

Credit Line Increases
This is very odd, but according to the Chatbot on the website:
Q. When requesting a credit limit increase, is the credit inquiry a hard or soft credit inquiry?
A. Unfortunately, until we process the request, there isn't a way for us to know if a credit line increase request will be a soft or hard hit on your credit report. For this reason, we have to receive your permission to pull a copy of your credit report before we process the increase request. If you process the request online, you will see a message stating "By submitting this form, you authorize Citibank, N.A. to obtain your credit report."
To request an increase online:
In order to request an increase, you will need to go to your “Credit Home” page, and find “Available Credit” at the top of the page. Then, click on the link that says “Request Increase” to begin the process.

I've had the card for something like 5 years now and it's been like that since I got the card. It's never actually worked for Restaurant offers when showing the category like that. It does count as utilities.

Got a new offer via snail mail! 10% back each month on travel and entertainment purchases, from September to December, up to $100 back per month. So this offer is for 4 months.
Doesn't seem like there's a minimum spend on this one as I don't see anything in the fine print.

I have created a separate thread to discuss the discontinued Sears MasterCards which earn ThankYou Points: Citi Legacy Sears (TYP) Cards
This is a manual process. I used responses to a recent Poll to move posts by Sears TYP cardholders into the separate thread. I did not re-read each post. It takes a few days for the Search This Thread function to work correctly after this type of thread split. At that point I will be able to use other criteria to look for additional posts to move.
Posts are always displayed in chronological order. The method I used to separate posts may have broken some conversations. If you think that any post is in the wrong thread, click the red Alert icon in the lower left corner of that post, and write something like, "Suggest move to the [TYP/SYW] thread,' and I will look at it.

I am working on my second 250K points for $1000+ online.
I received an email this morning that I had made $933.01 in eligible purchases.
This tells me that the $500 estimated tax payment I made through ACI Payments coded as online.
Others have said it does, but I wanted to give an August 2024 update.

They always have an expiration date and every time that date is reached, you'll see the same deal extended with a new date. They've had the same intro offer for years now. If you want to be ultra safe, apply by 09-30. But I strongly suspect, they'll keep the offer going past 09-30.
