MORTGAGE lending chiefs finally stopped dithering yesterday and agreed to pass on to customers Wednesdays interest rate cut.

They caved in after The Sun demanded they pass on in full Thursdays rate cut by the Bank of England, which slashed the cost of borrowing from 4.5 per cent to a 53-year low of 3 per cent.
