Hover over the cabins indicator to see what cabins it is pricing in. I ran a quick search and found 125,000 with a mix of J and Y awards.

What cabins show when you search?
You would be an idiot to book the itinerary shown above. TPE-AMS in Y, but intra-European in fake J??
On 8/30, TPE-BKK-ZRH is 75,000 UA mileageplus miles in 100% J

It seems to be adding the awards as you said. In the past, one could combine low J and low Y on the same itinerary for the J price, right?

Your UA itin would be great if one has UA miles. The discussion here was why, not whether it was a good idea. Also, the above is RT pricing.

Not just at 21 days, but at 11 months, 10 months, 9 months out also. The dates which Delta has blacked out you can't book at high, even though 100s of revenue seats are wide open for booking. But that's been like that for years.

This. The award pricing calculator can't handle any sort of broken fares. (Or perhaps it's handling it exactly as intended...)

I really find it hard to believe that LOW Y + LOW J is additive and ≠ LOW J pricing.

That said, I think I need a psychiatrist to figure out why I'm under some sort of a Delta-induced spell that I don't believe it!

And now you won't know for sure it is broken because there is no award chart to compare against. Not even Bubba could spin this one as a positive move by Delta.

That's not fair. "Bubba" has posted in this thread, as seen below:

Credit where credit is due, you have commented in the past as well about a couple of the more distasteful practices.

But I have a question: Do you get some kind of alert when someone uses your name on FT?

All meant in good fun.

All I know is that in the good old days you would see posts such as 'I have 5,000 miles in my SM account. What can I do with them?' Answer: magazine subscriptions.

Now we'll see posts such as 'I have 35,000 miles in my SM account. What can I do with them?' Answer: magazine subscriptions.

Hopefully this won't lead to what WN is doing...where they will have route-based variability in award redemption pricing (like DL's lack of transparency)-the WN board is not having a good time about it
