To our good fortune, that encounter escaped the camera.

They probably have. I've been a CO flyer for the past few years and wouldn't remember that flights on Delta earn CO miles if not for this thread.

Why Los Alamos? Is someone involved with the labs there?

Yes, as a matter of fact.

And thanks for inquiring.

It's not well known but 50 years ago, at the dawn of the nuclear age, experiments on the effects of radiation on humans were conducted.

One of the prominent posters in this thread was the result.

I'd tell you who it is but, as per the oath I took at the time, I'd have to kill myself.

More importantly, flights on CO earn Delta miles; albiet .5 MQMs on the cheap fares.

Cholula's just trying to prep you for the PBI meet. Don't be too shocked when you meet the guy with an extra leg and arm or three and few heads.

If you actually make Cholula point him out you you, then he's required by oath to commit hari kari, which would cut off our supply of sauce coupons. Now we wouldn't want that to happen, would we?

Why are we necessarily saying it's a 'him'?

True, Vickie could be an alien.

It could also be Traveller, who has returned to her secret island laboratory to be rejuvenated.

Please do not pick on poor Vickie.

Vickie’s hand accidentally slipped when trying to register under the originally intended FlyerTalk name of vkey75 to reflect the first name of Vickie but became stuck with tkey75 instead...

That extra leg had nothing to do with the Los Alamos tests and everything to do with the fact that at the last PBI-FLL dinner I was seated next to KarenKay.

Today, one year to the day after the war across the Lebanese border began, my daughter's boyfriend starts his court martial.

His heinous crime had nothing to do with the war but the Israeli Army is taking it so seriously that they have relieved him of all duties and restricted him to his barracks for the past two weeks while awaiting trial.

What, exactly, did this low-life criminal do?

He brought a pizza onto base and heated it up in the kitchen. As pizza contains cheese, it made the oven and all the other equipment he used non-kosher (because they are usually used to cook meat products).

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am to know that my daughter is seeing an International Pizza Criminal.

How crazy is that?!?!? I'm sorry but the army has more pressing matters to worry about, like how to organize the next strike on Lebanon... I mean seriously...

Actually, the newspapers here are discussing the possibility of a war with Syria this summer (most likely with Hizbollah joining in).

Syria is apparently undergoing a major build up of arms and men on the Golan Heights and has removed the roadblocks it had in place since 1973 -- but nobody is certain of why.
