Yup, but don't worry. Canarsie couched his announcement in terms that made it hard to understand. You're now in the same league as Dovster

I am going to guess that it went very well based on the first few words she posted around three hours ago:

It's not a mansion

Besides, I think I drove out all my neighbors, there are 10 houses up for sale in my block

I need to figure out what to grill this week, have to try something new

Everything I read or have heard says that the "grill Nazis" at the steak houses down there decide how they're going to cook your steak, not you.

And they all prefer screamin' a$$ blood rare.

Now I can handle medium or even medium rare in a pinch but rare, cold, purple steaks are not my bag.
I wonder if I will be the only non-red meat eater at Cow Do? I eat red meat less than five times a year so maybe one night will be one of these occasions.

The chicken, cooked on the same giant grill as the beef, is incredible as well if you like chicken.

You just do not hear about it because of the beef.

The ice cream in Beunos Aires is awesome as well. It is some of the best in the world.

You would go to the Cow Do and not eat cow?

Troublemaker!

Unfortunately, I think I could join you in the chargrilled camp. I bought some focaccia bread from Panera a few weeks back and tossed it in the freezer. Decided I wanted some tonight with dinner so I placed it, bag and all, in the microwave. Next thing I know, the bag is on fire.

Not little tiny sparks, but actual flames shooting up. I took a pair of tongs and grabbed the flaming bag & bread and threw it in the sink. Still on fire. So then I turn on the faucet and douse it with water. Flames finally out. phew!

On a side note, the National Geographic Channel is running some fascinating documentaries about Dubai right now. Has anyone ever been?

That's pretty impressive, caleo! Did the bag have a metal/twist tie on it?

When I was growing up, Mom said these were the meals where she treated us as gods - burnt offerings.

I'm home.

Mileage runs are for the young. How can it be so tiring flying around the country for 2 days? After all, I was sitting on planes (and at gates and in Crown Rooms), not running marathons.... <yawn>

Just be glad you're not as old as Cholula. Or wear a lime green speedo (that I've seen, anyway).
