Thumbs up

Now this airline is really on the "cutting edge" when it comes to aircraft maintenance:

Airline Sacrifices Goats to Appease Sky Gods

Let's get with it, Delta. And send the carcasses over to NW (ATTN: VP Inflight Services) with some recipes.

2. Could Meat have been sick? He cancelled back in April in Tampa and Orlando, so I guess he felt maybe he couldn't cancel again?

3. Maybe I have a better ear for music since I've been listening to him non-stop on my Ipod for 6 months?

4. Does he and the band know that they sucked?

Doesn't matter.... I still love him... and would go everyweek if I could!!

2. prob not, but never know. they can cxl when and if they want but will face some financial repercussions.

3. that sometimes makes you feel like you know it all to well and don't want to hear it different than it was recorded.

4. they usually know. I had always thought that Meatloaf didn't sing to well live from the few recording's I have heard, so it was prob just him and the band. They prob had a local lighting guy who didn't know the cue's but they usually travel with the sound guy's.
1. Agree with iCR, except that whereas Mr. Loaf never was a very technically proficient singer (IMHO), he's got his own style and does it well.

2. Agree again. He's probably not sick, just had a bad night.

3. Steven Tyler once said (I'm paraphrasing here) that when your songs are soooo well known, as in an Aerosmith or MeatLoaf song, it really doesn't matter how well you perform. You can screech all night and it won't matter because the recording is so engraved in your brain that you hear it the way you want to hear it. The band just goes through the motions.

Unfortunately, that sounds kind of contrary to your experience, Traveller.

4. They definitely know if they had a bad night. As far as the sound and light guys, I know both of them personally, and they are some of the better operators in the business. I worked for the sound company (and so did the lighting guy, strangely - that's how I know both of them) for quite a while and can say for sure there must have been something really amiss for someone to come out saying it wasn't a good show. I can't speculate as to what it was, but I've seen his show countless times and whereas I am not a fan by any stretch, I've always thought he puts on a good show.

Hahahaha!!!!

I only wish Air Canada would sacrifice a few Canada Geese before each and every flight. That way, we might be able to swim in our lakes again and walk in our parks w/o the abundant goose droppings.

They could donate the carcasses to the food banks, which would be replenished year round with nice plump and tasty geese ....

I hate Canada Geese. I also wish they were named something else. Zee Zee Geese or something, maybe? Hahahaha!!!!

and in some cases, they'd be already cooked. 23 milliseconds in a 2500 degree blast furnace.

Mmmmm. Jetfuelly. <drools>

Hey, I once worked for a company that opened a plant in Malaysia. Nothing worked right. When the Americans were awar, they sacrificed a goat, and things worked after that.

Last night, I went to sleep rather early. Much more comfy to sleep in my own bed rather than the previous night's experience of sleeping (well, trying to sleep) on an airplane. I still have my sore throat. I usually don't get sick.

The Cholulas talked me into attending the FLL Do so I am looking at ticketing options.
