Are we talking about the same list of people? Top rate just isn't a phrase that comes to mind when I think of some of them.

I am really slacking...I have only met 11 of them....8 of them were at the Boca Do, TheOriginal. All 5 of the original witnesses to the "Your room at the Ramada has a safe" quote are still hanging around.

You are correct. It was cerealmarketer, not Cornroaster, who spotted me chasing after a couple real babes in MSP.

So my count is a mere 16.

Geez. All this talk of meeting people and things...

Is it time we started thinking about the Lounge DO II?

Au contraire, mon ami...

The redoubtable jfe and I shared a nice meal in Motown earlier this year.

That means I've met a grand total of, let's see.... 1 from the Lounge. Shared a few beers with another FTer in Prague though.

What shocks me is how relatively high I find myself on the list. I'm not exactly a profligate poster.

Well, now that I think of it, I also first met jfe at an event other than the ELP DO.

Actually not an "event" per se but a seedy bar in a rundown section of ELP.

And you can use the new math that Traveller invented here yesterday and say you've actually met 2 Lounge Lizards.

I feel sure that you can find a couple of other Lounge lizards/lizardettes that would say math is not one of our (ok, my) strong suits!!! They actually tried to blame my faux pas on my where I learned my 'rithmetic! (Auburn)

In reality, it was just one of those times my brain was inherently slower than my mouth. (Forty dollars divided by 5 isn't $5 a piece???) My brain was processing the FIVE FT'ers, you see, NOT the division..... So FIVE DOLLARS came out of my mouth!!

Of course, I'm still waiting for the Gargoyle Do announcement. I don't think either will happen in '07.
Well, I could organize something in Canada in '07 but I probably won't be there to join in.

I'm still in the 50th state and not back until just before Christmas.

aucarol, I am an alum of the University of Mississippi, but I can set aside my ill feelings toward Coach Tubberville to rejoice that Alabama lost (again)!

Q. How did the Alabama student die from drinking milk?
A. The cow fell on him!

Q. Why do Alabama students have TGIF on their shoes?
A. Toes Go In First!

Q. Did you hear about the Alabama quarterback who tried to throw himself on the floor in a fit of rage?
A. He missed!

Mom: Only 2 more minutes until 1998.
Dad: I'm going to bed.
Son: But Dad, you're going to miss the ball drop....
Dad: Hey Son, I've seen it plenty of times..I'm an Alabama fan you know!!

Q. What is the one thing that keeps so many Alabama football players from graduating?
A. CLASSWORK!

Q. Did you hear about the Alabama fan who froze to death?
A. He went to the drive in...He sat through "Closed for the season"!!

Q. How do you get an Auburn student off your porch?
A. Pay him for the pizza!

Two Auburn fans have been walking in the woods for eight hours when they stop and one turns to the other and says, "I'm cutting the next Christmas tree we find, lights or no lights."

Q. What's the difference between a University of Alabama sorority sister and a scarecrow?
A. One lives in a field and is stuffed with hay. The other frightens birds and small animals.

Today I received a two foot tall bottle of Cholula sauce. Apparently, elf Cholula helped out my FT secret santa with my first gift. (Okay, so it's just a huge Cholula sauce bottle with nothing in it.) Thank you Santa & Elf.

Elf Cholula says it's his distinct pleasure.

And on an unrelated topic, many, many thanks to the Lounge Lizards™ who supported my candidacy for TalkBoard! I will be forever grateful.
