Unbelievable. Given the way US treats them (and especially w/ Abby at the bar), I'd expect the typical Cockroach to be drinking more than ever.

As they say in MN....you bet!

As a matter of fact, I'll be fishing and four wheeling this weekend. But I don't know if it will be quite warm enough to tote my beer that way this time. But I'll find a suitable mode.

Two Auburn graduates had been hunting and were dragging a deer they had bagged back to their truck. Another hunter wearing an Alabama cap approached pulling his along too. "Hey, said the lone hunter, "It's much easier if you drag the deer in the opposite direction. Then the antlers won't dig into the ground."

The two Auburn graduates decided to give it a try. A little while later one says to the other, "You know, that guy was right. This is a lot easier."

"Yep," the other replied, "but we're getting further away from the truck."

Can you say "Redneck"?

An actual (albeit with names, etc. removed by me) obituary in our local paper reads:

John Doe, 54 passed away at his home, Feb... blah, blah, blah...survived by....blah blah......"A remembrance service will be held at his home at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2008, with a BBQ to follow. BYOB."
The bolded section is a direct quote. ( ) Must have been a Bama or Georgia grad!

Q: Why do Auburn cheerleaders wear bibs?

A: To keep the tobacco juice off their uniforms.

On a serious note about Auburn, a young lady that was a freshman there was murdered last night very close to the campus.

Not many details yet, though.

I tell ya, seems like all the news nowadays is bad news, doesn't it? Kids killing their parents because they can't date someone, somone shooting folks at fast food places, and a freshman sorority girl out and about.

I think ya'll probably had it worse, since they rolled in during daylight hours after the sun had juiced it up a bit----hit here around 5 AM. We got A LOT of rain and a pretty good storm, but not too bad. And it didn't last too long either. Good news after the weather we had on the 17th!!

Four Great Religious Truths

During these serious times, people of all faiths should remember these four great religious truths:

1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.

2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.

4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters.
