She says to me: "You don't say "salmon fish" "trout fish", halibut fish or "red snapper fish", do you?? " Then you should just say "tuna". "

But I still say "tuna fish" anyway.......
Somehow, I've gotten the impression that she corrects you about a lot of things.

Now that's interesting.

7-Eleven here in the states made a sandwich that used two slices of pepperoni pizza as the bread. I didn't have the guts to try it. No pun intended.

I would try the deep-fried pizza if it was available in the US.

You know you can make your own, of course. I'll try it, too. When shall I stop by?

Harvesting Roadkill

After our first road trip in Tasmania yesterday afternoon, I think I see an unlimited business opportunity ....

Does wallaby go well with Cholula sauce?

And yes, I'm still alive after ~350 kilometers on the wrong side of the road. I only turned into the wrong side of an intersection once early in the day, and the Aussie that was about to pull out was laughing his head off.

lovely... just lovely..

On a whim, I decide to check on my itinerary for JAX-SEA in late August. I see that my ATL-SEA leg has changed, leaving me with a 31 minute connection... illegal, I believe. The SEA-ATL leg changed to arrive one minute earlier -- no big deal. I remembered having a 767-300 for at least one of the long legs... my new ATL-SEA flight is a 757. I check the reverse... and it's a 737-800. Lovely. Part of the reason I was going through ATL vs CVG was to avoid that. Argh.

Check your seat assignments, change anything that missconnects, but don't worry too much. They still have a time to change it again... and again.

Yeah, I need to take care of the outbound. Unfortunately, that means leaving about an hour and a half earlier than we planned, to make the new connection. Our old seat assignments show up for the changed flights, but it won't let me change them... I thought they had fixed that?

If you switch to the the earlier flight, things may change again. I had one trip that went through two or three schedule changes... and I ended up leaving within a minute or two of the original time.

Yeah, my flights to Seattle last summer went through a few changes. That was an award ticket, and I wound up changing the outbound from a two-stop to a one-stop, because the changes were so great. I think my returns went through a few tweaks... but my connections were always legal!
