That stuff would stick, as it is most likely difficult to clean.

With his current health condition, which I hope improves as soon as possible, I would advise against sitting next to the toilet with indufan in the foreseeable future.

After all, you know the old saying about what “hits the ’fan...

Sounds kinda similar to "I talked to Jeff Robertson today but I can't tell you anything about it".

Wow, a new thread.

You are a little late with that one, Traveller.

Warning: This post contains rant!

This evening, I took my daughter, Dyslexia, shopping. (Note: Dyslexia is not her real name. I call her that because she reads from right to left. For some reason, a lot of people in Israel do that.)

Dyslexia is a senior in college. This means she should be fairly well educated, right? Wrong.

We went to a clothing shop which had a special offer -- if you pay with a Visa card issued by Bank Leumi, and charge 300 shekels or more, you are given a 100 shekel discount. I have two different Visas from this bank and asked if the bill came to 600 shekels whether we could split it between the two cards, thus giving me a 200 shekel discount.

I was told that we could. Dyslexia then went ahead and ran up a bill of 558 shekels. Minus my 100 shekel discount, it meant I would have to shell out 458 shekels. I insisted that she buy something else, bring the total to 600, and let me get the second discount, thus lowering the total I would have to pay to 400.

She couldn't understand the logic of this. Hell, she spent last year studying Logic! She just could not grasp that 600 minus 200 is cheaper than 558 minus 100 (not to mention the fact that she would get something else when she brought the bill up to 600).

Now, I am not only upset that she wanted to waste the 58 extra shekels that I would have had to pay out but I am even more pissed off that I apparently wasted four years of college tuition on her!

So, apparently, doing math from right to left makes one innumerate?

No, it just helps empty your father's bank account.

Yeah and you should see how hard some of my clients laugh at me when I try to open my books from the "back" too (since much of what I read is in Hebrew - so "them there English type ones" confuse me!)

On the shopping, that girl needs a real education...one never turns down somoene saying "I want to spend more money on you". However had the father been smart...he would have sneaked something into the pile and then he would have had a holiday present taken care of *grin*

Enough Dead Horses

topics I vote should be banned in the DL forum for one day (no new threads) in deference to all the horses beaten to death:

Amex
The fact that DL, CO and NW now share lounges
Upgrades on other airlines

Our holiday shall be named "Make Love Not Glue"

Anyone at ATL?

Anyone at ATL right now, just after 4:00 pm? PM me if you're here. Survived my 10 hours in coach with a sore jaw, Mrs. Gargoyle's inbound ORD-ATL was cancelled; she'll be coming in an hour or two late, so I'm sitting here. Looks like lots of lounge chat and e-mail to catch up on.
