Years ago, I was at either Argosy or Grand Victoria and the electricity went out and it actually went dark. There was emergency lighting that came on and the dealers had clearly been trained on how to deal with such a situation. They immediately covered up their chips. It was only out for a minute or so and then it came back on. What would have been their power source when they actually left the dock. They would still have that power source wouldn't they?
Casinos have amazing procedures, so I'm not surprised they covered up the chips, and got control of the situation immediately.
I know for a fact that you "won't" lose any of your $$$$ if playing VP or Slots during a power failure; as they also have procedures to deal with the credits in the machine during a power failure.
Most recent, I know of a woman who forgot to "cash-out" her $500++ from a slot machine @ Paris Las Vegas. She realized it quickly enough, and went right back, but the $$$ were gone. Since she went to security fast enough, they were able to look up the "ticket-out" coupon --- and see it hadn't been cashed yet... allowing the casino to invalidate the ticket before the person who cashed out the machine could cash it.

I did not know that trees were artistic, but now that I know that they draw...
...anyway, I decided to go to Sweden and spend a few hours there in Malmφ before I spent the rest of my time in Copenhagen. Malmφ is a short train ride away, and it is the third largest city in Sweden.
My flight to Bucharest via Amsterdam is scheduled to depart in fewer than five hours.

How long were you in Copenhagen? It's been a few years, but I liked the city. Esp. Tivoli Gardens and the tower/observatory.

Gee... way to leisurely take in the sights.
I was there about the same amount of time. My visit was over the summer solstice and it was light 'til about midnight. Plus we were young & didn't care about minor details like sleep. You can do a lot in a day and a half!

DLFan, what do you think of this Kid Rock song All Summer Long? I think it is my favorite song in like 10 years.

The whole CD is his best to date, IMHO. Can't help but think of Pam Andersen every time I hear So Hott (and I'm pretty sure he had her in mind when he wrote it)! I like All Summer Long a lot, too. It's the quintessential summer cruzin' song (especially in an Audi with top down). It couldn't have been too hard to write, though. It's basically a great compilation of a LOT of very familiar songs.

Kid Rock, nope, never liked him, although the scenery in the video wasn't bad at all
