Mrs Italy has often remarked about her high school classmates who went to work for Delco or GM right out of HS, are now retired traveling around in their motor home and here she is with her degree still working. Me? I retired after 21 years in the Infantry, have worked a couple of odd jobs and now I'm Mr. Mom w/o the kids and enjoying every moment ^

Why would you want to live in a motor home? For what its worth, my folks retired to El Paso....and decided they didn't like being retired yet...both now work in higher education (one for EPCC and one for UTEP).

Who would want to visit, much less live in such a place

Good for them, the more time I spend winters in Michigan, the more I love El Paso

The irony is my dad wanted to be close to water so he could go fishing. He likes salt water fishing, and a variety of lakes/rivers to fish in. So...they are in El Paso.

But, I will say, one thing El Paso has we don't get in Rome is the live broadcast from the Met. This year they are doing the full season digitally sent to movie theatres around the globe. The cinemark by Cielo Vista Mall (whre the walmart, sams is....of Viscount or Hawkings I think) is the one with it. I saw Renee Flemming over the Christmas holidays. Was fabulous!

You'd think we'd get opera in the movie theatre here in Rome...but no.

I agree. There's nothing there except a manion, a fishing pond, and something bears a resemblance to a river.

You can always drive to Milan

There is some fishing in El Paso, well, you have to drive to get there.

Despite the criminal activity in Juarez, El Paso is not a bad place.

At least my new office in Juarez is in the second floor, near the warehouse, and the walls are solid concrete, so the bullets have little chance.

I better not peak through the window too often though

I have always wondered, why lime green speedos? Wouldn't neon green make more of a statement? I mean...go all the way for pity sake!

It's a Cholua thing. Can you picture Cholula in a speedo of any other color? His new book will be called What Color is My Speedo?

This is really cool..

Talk about innovative media buys, Miller High Life will air one-second spots for the Super Bowl. Yes, it's true. And looking at the creative, I think it can work. Not to mention the PR value. Smart and hilarious.
