Wearning — A cross between learning and wearing, as in the following example: Are you wearning that dress for the first time?

If nothing else lets plan to get together for dessert and drinks when you guys get in (thought you were going to take the earlier flight?)

Am I really wanted in South Florida that much?!?

Well, if you were serious about the offer, Modapa, I appreciate it as it is quite generous, but I am going to pass. Thank you!

However, I do have a proposal, and if anyone can successfully further tweak it for me to earn the maximum number of Delta Air Lines Medallion Qualification Miles for the least amount of cash, I will come down to South Florida.

Is this a deal?

If so, here is your assignment:

I just found out today that I need to be in Jackson, Mississippi for two days sometime next week. This could be any two consecutive days, from Monday, December 12 through Friday, December 16.

The least expensive airfare I can find is US$276.90 between Atlanta and West Palm Beach on Delta Air Lines, and US$288.79 flying from West Palm Beach to Jackson, Mississippi and returning from Jackson to Miami. This is a total of US$565.69 for 3,230 Medallion Qualification Miles. Of course, the South Florida — Jackson round trip is nested within the Atlanta — West Palm Beach round trip.

I am willing to travel to far-flung places anywhere in the world in order to maximize the dollar-to-Medallion-Qualification-Mile ratio. I am willing to travel on weekends. Throw in as many stops along the way as possible. Put me on any SkyTeam partner airline, as long as it is not inexpensive Continental Airlines fares that only earn 50% Medallion Qualification Miles.

Rules:
  • I cannot take a flight before really late at night on Friday, December 9, as I already have something scheduled that evening.
  • The two days in Jackson, Mississippi must be consecutive and must occur during the week of Monday, December 12 through Friday, December 16.
I cannot think of any other rules at the moment. Jackson, Mississippi (JAN) is not an easy destination with which to work.

I have already tried the incredible US$122.00 Atlanta — Meridien (MEI), Mississippi fare, but in order to qualify for that, I would have to fly there on December 10 and return on either December 12 or 13. That would cause me to miss South Florida. Flights to South Florida from Meridien were in excess of US$650.00, which negated the savings on the Atlanta — Meridien round-trip fare.

I would preferably like to know within the next few hours.

Let’s see how good you all really are — should you choose to accept this assignment...

Garth- isn't he the jerk who wanted to make it illegal to sell used records, since he wouldn't get royalties? If a record is boring and you're tired of it, you should have the right to sell it; and used record stores are great places to find unusual music. But that poor multi-millionaire was so greedy, he needed to squeeze the extra pennies out of his "fans".

He voiced his view on it, which he like everyone else is entitled to. He did not take any action to prevent the sales and he did not block his stuff from being resold. I personally wouldnt want my clients reselling the stuff I build for them either!
