The only thing I could possibly offer was an old album, which then invoked the reply, "How the heck do you listen to one of those??"... at least it wasn't an 8-track tape (pure 70s)!
Can I ask a silly question? Why did your daughter go see EWF if she didn't know whether she liked their music or not?

That's a fair question... wondered that myself! She was on a date, and I think her date got free tickets.

OFF TOPIC:

I am flying SAN-PDX today on Alaska Air. Ticket is AS (not 006 or 012). Can I earn Delta Skymiles?

Or should I start a Mileage Plus account?

Only silly people with dumb questions are permitted round these parts.

First of all, Mileage Plus is United Airlines, with whom Alaska Airlines is not a partner.

Second, I believe you mean Mileage Plan, not Mileage Plus.

Third, you should be able to earn Delta Air Lines SkyMiles on that flight. However, I do not know whether or not the following is still true, but certain Alaska Airlines flights which are officially code-share flights with American Airlines may not earn Delta Air Lines SkyMiles, so double-check just to be sure.

Finally, your question was indeed not off-topic for this thread.

Not off-topic at all.

Well... I guess that will have to be a mystery. I rarely get all the details as I am from "another generation". You know the one that doesn't understand RAP, and why you wear out your thumbs on a text message when you could just simply call.

Today, I did a seatmap search on one of the DL seat map sites (don't remember the name). There were some preferred seats open, and I logged into my SM account. I didn't bother to think that I'm not a medallion, and no elite seats showed up. I logged into my mom's SM account. Looks like the middle seat on BOS-SLC is empty now, stick to 12A/B on SLC-HNL, we'll see about HNL-ATL and ATL-BOS, as there are seats up ahead but they're not aisle seats (mom's preference...i mean necessity).

AF447 tail and 16 bodies found. Next stop: Fuselage and BBR

I don't understand rap but do send text messages (as does my supervisor). Of course, I have a 4.5 year old Blackberry - the keys are large enough for me to both see and type.

I've been here since the beginning and can vouch for the fact that there is no such thing as "off topic" on this thread. The entire thread has no topic so how can anything be off topic?

And w0r1dtrave1er can certainly earn SkyMiles on AS. We do it all the time and when the upgraded fares are cheap up there, we earn 1.5 MQMs.
