The individual recognized that he showed poor judgment and left. And I'm posting from DTW, not ATL.

I will gladly take you up on that, and I like the spirit of it being a FIRST drink - meaning more to follow of course. However, a few people have already noticed that I was proposing to be in the bar, before the event even starts, and sent mail that they are worried that I will begin Day 1 without my sanity. Not to worry, I never had it in the first place!

Waiting for luggage claim sucks - I had my laptop and got artwork in MD, so I had to check my rollaboard.

I'm so glad that it's been since February that I had to check a bag - and then it was only because I brought my golf clubs down to Ft. Lauderdale to play a round....forget which course, but it was a Donald Ross design and I finished with my best hole ever (I'm not a good golfer) - about a 400 yd Par 4, hit a 250 yard drive off the tee, took a 9-iron out and stuck it within 4 inches of the pin and tapped it in for my first birdie on a Par 4 (I've gotten several on Par 3s in the past at my old local course in North Carolina, but never anything like this). Looked good to the clubhouse since it was on the 18th - I did channel my inner Tiger after tapping in

I had 1.75 L bottle of Woodford in my checked bag... Got to baggage claim to find my bag sitting on the carousel, my bag arrived 2 hours earlier on the previous flight and no one from DL pulled it off the carousel.

The UIG and I are spending an extra night in NYC. We took a voluntary bump off our JFK-TLV flight in exchange for $600 each in Delta Dollars and upgrades to BizElite on tomorrow's flight.

The downside is they put us up in the Ramada -- and the room doesn't even have a safe!

$600+BusinessElite - I'd put up with the Ramada for that (heck, after that, I'd probably burn some Starwood points for something on Manhattan and just count my blessings to have BE on that flight).

Is he going to be upgraded it into the J class? Is that a good seat? I am flying in the J class for PHX-ATL-ZRH around on December 22 and will returns back home to PHX on Dec. 29. I am already have award travels ticket in the F & J class. I will have more comfortable to get sleep on the plane for ATL-ZRH. So I will have write good trip reports during my flight out of PHX.

Let me tell you something some of news from my brother on IM last week. He told me that his wife is getting a baby girl. So I can't wait to to see her. She will be my uncle and she going to be my niece. I am looking forward to see them again. She will be born sometime on October 2009.

Congratulations on the up-coming birth of your niece. That's very exciting and I know she will appreciate your visiting her in ZRH. You will enjoy being an Uncle.

Yes, my itinerary now reads J class.

I bought a T ticket, but if they give me the triple MQMs for the JFK-TLV segment this one trip will qualify me for Silver. (8087 MQMs TLV-ATL-FLL-JFK) and 5661 MQMs x 3 for JFK-TLV.)
