I did not have slippers, and haven't in the past except for ASIAN destinations.

Thanks for the info! It sounds like we may not see slippers to ICN because of the new socks with rubber dots...

My experience is it depends upon your ISP and the receiving ISP and or mail server. I've sent emails with a large address list w/o problem yet had a single receiving server block the 20 plus emails from me.

If someone is communicating for business purposes, they should use a real e-mail client, not something with training wheels, and not something like outlook express (which isn't an e-mail client- its a highly efficient virus distribution system which happens to come bundled with minimal e-mail capabilities).

Or it may be that the slippers are used only for Oriental destinations as the slippers are something more common place in the Orient as opposed to European destinations.

You don't think we know about "communicating for business purposes"?

I'm on a large worldwide corporate LAN with 10's of thousands of users. We use Outlook (not Express). There is no BCC line by default. It's an option buried in the menus, and we have little need for it.

In the time of the clippers, we had slippers with zippers. We ate kippers and swam wearing flippers. But now we're quite chipper, we're excellent tippers, all thanks to the traffic controllers hired by the Gipper.

Ok so mini rant but why the HELL are Rental Cars so expensive!?

Trying to get one for next Wednesday @ MSP and the BEST price I can find is ~ $130 for not even 12 hours! Hertz is even sold out so I get to chance it with another rental company. Bleh.

That means an underage fee :-(

How much would it cost to use taxi's instead? Add in the savings on gas and parking, and it could be a good deal.

Where are you going around MSP? You might do better w/ a couple cab fares, hotel shuttle, connecting w/ someone for dinner (and a ride), etc.

$130 for 12 hours stinks. Or sucks however one prefers to describe it.

Try to reserve for a full day or longer (obviously you can return whenever) or use Priceline.

Ok so I'm going to 5500 Wayzata Blvd in Minneapolis (St Louis Park). Any idea how much that would be by taxi?

I may have found a way to get it down to ~$80

1. Hotwire.com 67.95
2. Rentalcars.com 101.95
3. Ask for a "negotiated rate" -- Set rate for certain companies / institutions / groups.
a. Continental Onepass member rate on Thrifty used to be about $33 on weekdays, not sure if it was discontinued in 2008;
b. Southwest RR often has good rates - try thru WN website or by calling RAC and asking
c. Medical rate - patients/family coming for recurring treatment often get great rates: Do you have a U Minn Med Center rate? (Mayo Clinic?) Your client company may also have a discount rate - you would be a contractor, eh?
d. Check out FT RAC forums for discount codes.

About $30-35

It's on US12/I-394 so when you're not pressed for time if you're so inclined, you can take a bus (usually express) back into downtown & then ride the LRT to the airport or MOA. That usually runs $3-4. There's a park & ride on the other side of I-394 next to the Associated Bank bldg. that you'll see from 5500.

We're available for rescue/dinner missions by 7 if necessary.

If you've got the rental down to $80, it's close to a wash unless you take the bus/LRT or ride w/ friends.
