Hmmm... 16, really? Aiming for a new reality show, "and FlyerTalker makes..." ?!? Maybe a cross between a reality show and a take on "European Vacation" where I lose a few along the way. I think I hear something making noise in the overhead bin.
I could be shown desparately making lot's of travel plans, and pleading with Canarsie to please take me to Antarctica and leave me there permanently.
You know I love a dare... but it doesn't take math to figure out that there will NOT be a round three. Besides - I am getting too old for this... and I can never book award tickets for a family vacation as it is. If I did had more, when I attempted to call to book tickets, (once I can waive those fees, and I am sure there isn't an option to book that many on-line anyway), they would laugh, put me on hold, tell everyone in reservations, "get a load of this...", and then say, have you considered chartering one of out 747s while you still can?
If she wants someone to talk to, I am sure my wife will be glad to have a conversation with her. Of course, hearing about 32 bottles and whole pack of diapers a day will probably make her a little anxious, thus my earlier cake recipe.
Of course these days, you have to have >8 to make the news. However, in the unlikely event the news shows up or calls, slam the door, or hang-up quickly would be my personal advice. Maybe she could have a slot at the next RWT, and practice crossing her arms, and saying, "bad reporter, stay back"
Is she local? I am sure my quads would be glad to babysit. She is definitely going to need lots of helping hands.

I've only been back to coach in a 757-300 once and just as I sat down, I got called for the battlefield upgrade. I do recall how long the back of that plane seemed and right then swore to from then on avoid that purgatory.
The UA ps seat on their 757 is just OK. I've taken a couple of RTs in FC and really can take or leave UA's inconsistent service, non-functioning IFE, and difficult to adjust seat. Each to his own but the poster who is so in love with it must of necessity be a 1K or GS who are really the only pax who consistently get attention from the FAs. I was merely *Gold dirt and needed to stay in line behind those and the multiple upgraded employees.

Breaks in Mile runs?
Do you guys take breaks in your mile running?
I typically fly every weekend or 75% of the weekends in a month on mile runs. (Well not true mile runs according to some here- i leave on a fri or sat morning and come back sun night or mon morning after taking time usually to tour whatever city i am mile running to. a mini vacation of sorts every weekend). I work full time during the week and since all my runs are self-financed [i never have to travel for work] that leaves the mile running to mostly weekends, with an occasionally longer vacation that also earns miles 1 or 2x a year.
While I've enjoyed my weekend jaunts all across north america, europe and central/south america i decided to take a break in july once i reached platinum to see if it led to some sort of more profound relaxation and peace and to spend some more time with hubby since he only comes on maybe half the mile runs i take (he doesn't find frequent travel enjoyable as much as i do). (My first year as a mile runner ever and i made it from no status to plat in 6 months- i felt very accomplished having set a goal and made it). I didn't fly anywhere. My friends who had grown used to seeing me dash off and hearing my tales of travel exploits were actually shocked i was home the entire month. They didn't know whether to approve or be worried [why don't you stay home and make babies instead of having so much fun in life, don't you get stressed traveling all the time, how can you like being on a plane so much, etc] I did miss flying though- it seemed strange to be home all the time.
So do you guys regularly work in set breaks to your mile running where you know you will not be traveling for a certain number of weeks? and if so is this done to refresh you, sooth your wallet, or please family/friends who want you home more? do you think long term harm can come from constant travel, even if one feels they are truly enjoying it - ie. some sort of subconscious detriment that will only be obvious years later?
share your thoughts on this with me. i'm ready to discuss the psychological effects of frequent travel.

I am on a permanent break from them. I have never taken one and never will.
I detest being in an aluminum tube. It doesn't frighten me, it just bores the heck out of me -- even in Biz Elite.
I enjoy arriving at places. I even enjoy being at airports. But I don't like sitting in a plane.
In the past, I had to do a bit of business travel. These days, I only fly to visit family and friends or to go on vacation.

We try to limit ourselves to flying 2 weekends out of three. We start to burn out at ~90-100K paid miles plus some award tickets. About 125K/year is our max.
It's the withdrawal from the Woodford Reserve, not the airplane itself. Some modern JIT inventory management at L'estates d'UP would fix this problem.

View from my office window a few minutes ago. Sorry it's not a better shot, these guys are too fast, no time to focus or set the lighting...

I don't have an inspiring view when I look out my office window ...
