It's received a LOT of wear and tear over the 2+ months it's been open and there were some maintenance issues that could no longer be overlooked.

Will there be a new thread after Midnight, Jan 1 for the new year?

I did manage to keep it down though, which was an accomplishment considering that I ate "it" rolling around in the lower (underwater) deck due to the rough seas.

In this case the "special" was on a chalkboard, in English as well as Norwegian, but the cook on duty was one of the few Norwegians who's not bilingual. Although I've relearned to read Norwegian, I almost never speak it (my only "conversation" the last few visits was with a Pakistani immigrant working in a Burger King who obviously hadn't been schooled in Norway long enough to learn English). Someone else helped out with the whaleburger order & then the ferry was about to leave so we rushed back to the car & drove on. I don't think anyone on the ferry knew what I was trying to eat.
Keep in mind that Norway is nation of people that runs on ice & eats lutefisk. What's a mere whaleburger in the greater scheme of things?
I also had a nice dinner of "reindeer, chinese style" at the Little Buddha in Tromsψ. A year later I read in Aftenposten that health authorities had cracked on the Lil Buddha for recycling unconsumed rice & pop.

When a large one was caught recently in Εlesund (west coast, south of Trondheim), it even warranted write up in the English edition of Aftenposten.
