Places where there should REALLY be a loyalty program!

Another $129.00 to Home Depot *frown*. Talk about needing a loyalty program. I could be uber platinum by the end of 2005 at the rate I am going. So tonight was ...Three new smoke detectors (the existing one upstairs has a peculiar habit of going off when you take a shower and the steam hits it, so decided better replace all three since they all look to be from the early 1800's!). More quarts of paint to sample, but at last I believe I may be done sampling. The palette is very Tuscan, deep warm colors. And why do I share this, well cause it will probably annoy traveller *grin*, just kidding!!! I share because all you world travellers will get to Tuscany long before I do, feel free to send gifts and furniture this way *smile*

I told you so!! At least I tried to get out of there for $75... 3 times a day, and remember me telling you this wasn't for the big things (flooring, paint, etc), just the little incidental crap you need when you have a new house.

I am currently limiting myself to one trip a day, afraid as a newbie I might become addicted if I don't pace myself *smile*. I do have to admit I am impressed with their staff. They actually can give you answers when you have questions, they actually seem to teach them something!!!! Mr. Paint guy even knew enough to help me with smoke detectors (ok how many different kinds do they REALLY need to make???????)

Was seriously just joking on the annoying you, was just playing off the round we went about carry on luggage on here somewhere. The weather around here is a BIG part of why I am going wiht such saturated colors, there is no point using light and bright cause there is rarely sunlight to play off it. So going with terra cottas, deep burgandy (canarsie will tell us shortly how to spell that right because I never do - my color is actually called Velvety Merlot), rich beige and buff colors and this AMAZING butterscotch pudding color I found tonight. That and I love the colors here in the fall and this palette really mimics this. Which is ironic since it all fell together accidently (not one color I selected is what I had picked before the closing)

Congratulations on Milepost #7,000, obscure2k!

I am honored that you decided to post that milestone in The Lounge™.

Thank you!

As for me, I believe I have way too many mileposts for the three years that I have actively posted on FlyerTalk as of December 16...

My post was really a way of honoring you, Canarsie for your efforts in getting the Lounge up and running. Thanks for your vision and to all who have
contributed in making this thread such a success. ^ Happy holidays to one and all.

Regardless of how it is spelled in English (or, attempted to be spelled, anyway), here, in the gold Hebrew letters above the Menorah, is the true way to spell “Chanukah”.

Read from right to left, the first letter is the “CH” sound not found in the English language, the second letter is the “N” sound, the third letter is the “OO” sound, the fourth letter is the “K” sound, and the fifth letter is the silent “H”.

The vowel sounds of “A” and “A” are missing because sometimes Hebrew is written without most vowels, which would normally appear below the baseline of the Hebrew letters in the illustration.

Wanna See a Bunch of Mad Hornets

(this should get Mikey going). It appears Chase and Continental are giving away platinum status for $85/year http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=507713 . Looks like DL may be the place to stay as CO is going to be overrun with Plats who want upgrades if this turns out to be valid and since NW and CO have reciprocity NW isnt gonna be much easier to upgrade on.

Needless to say the folks in the CO forum arent so happy

And we think DL does dumb things!!!!!!!

Remember, you get double Delta miles (2/$) on your Delta Amex at hardware stores. I could have opened a separate Delta Amex thread to tell you that, but the Lounge makes it so much easier...

Dont tell anyone but I have been using my BOA US Airways debit card for the purchases (trying VERY hard not to get farther into debt working on the house so not using the credit cards).

Next trip..Get a Carbon Monoxide detector. I almost lost my family because of CO.

Actually, get one for each level of your home. First Alert makes combo CO/smoke detectors.
