Yeah that is strictly against his rules (which we all must follow ), but he isn't here now so we can get away with it. Once he gets back he will start yelling for it to be moved .

Digging ..... constantly ... well, for the last 2 weeks now. No idea what they are doing in the holes in the middle of the street they dug.
It is annoying to constantly hear that jackhammer. When they are done for the night, they put these huge metal plates over the holes, for cars/ people to go over.

Maybe someone told them there was gold down there. That or they have been told to that NYC needs more holes for people to fall into .

Two reminders of the Simpsons today...

Earlier, Grandpa Simpson worked as a Greeter for Sprawl-Mart and Homer took over the "legacy."

Now we have Bart digging and digging his way to China.

I've taken to mocking the construction company that's had a crew rehabbing one cottage on my street for the last six months.

I'm all for mass child labor laws. The little knuckleheads certainly aren't learning anything in school these days, so they might as well be productive and dig some coal or something.

Rules.....rules........rules.......

Doesn't the committee have to take a vote on the measure of the rule before its standards can be put into practice?

*smiles*

Besides........if we had rules, wouldn't we need a ruler? And who would want that aweful job.

So you favor laws permitting child labor as long as they work en mass rather than alone?

Absolutely.

With ADD so bad these days, they can never keep focussed working solo on a task. The efficient way keep them productive by using one motivator (preferrably with whip) per ten to twenty of the urchins. Chains can also be effective in keeping them from scurrying away.
