I've done it several times on MSP-ATL-ONT routes.

This was back when it would have been a CRJ-200 on MSP-SLC and another CRJ-200 on SLC-ONT. I'd rather go out of my way a bit and enjoy F on a 757 (when I was in no real time crunch) than fly 1600 miles on CRJ-200s.

Oh, and the extra 2000 MQMs (so 4000 SkyMiles) each trip didn't hurt either.

Same with MSP-(ATL)-LAS - that and better flight times going via ATL.

I also like to do MSP-ATL-Europe, and will do MSP-IAH-LHR on CO in January. Longer the flight to Europe, the more time to sleep.

I drink and I gamble... That's what is great about this country. I'm free to do whatever it is that I want. Good or bad for me.

There's more to an airline than IFE...I honestly don't really care for the PTVs; I'd rather have power/internet.

And for a short flight (such as MDW), a newspaper is more than sufficient for me to read for a 45 minute flight.

Exactly, more miles. If DL had a SLC-PBI flight I'd be on that for the 3,000 miles one way I'd get out of that. May waste hours of my time, but extra miles and AVOD would be nice.

Well you can't do everything.

Well yes on a MSP-MDW flight it doesn't matter, but a Portland, Maine-LAX flight would be brutal to be on WN.

MSP-ATL-West Coast was a legal routing until earlier this year. BOS-SLC-Florida has never been (trust me, I've looked to see if I could maximize miles that way).

I've managed to do trans-Atlantics with just overhead monitors (which I didn't bother to watch). Wouldn't be too hard for a trans-con. After all, NW has been doing East Coast-West Coast for years (with mid-con connections) without any IFE. Books are a great way to pass time on planes - I know that I tend to read on planes much more than I do other places - it's a chance to be free of distractions and actually read a book without having to go do something.

Flying to the east coast from BNA, I can hit ATL, CVG, DTW, or MEM but MSP is now an invalid routing.

Generally I don't even watch movies on TATL flights. I make an exception for the Deltalina safety movie.

Yeah, I'm sad at the loss of such great legal routings:

MSP-ATL-West Coast
MSP-SLC-ORD (my all-time favorite)
MSP-SLC-East Coast (did not apply to New England cities, but everything from NYC to Florida worked)

Drinking the contents of one glass of wine can be very good for your health. Drinking the glass itself can kill you.

Yes,
In San Juan, Puerto Rico; to name one place where there is under 21 gaming

Actually, the gaming industry is probably the MOST EVIL industry in the United States. It's been noted many times that casinos prey on compulsive gamblers, and have (most notably in Nevada) gone to great lengths to make certain that gambling debts are paid (even when, the casinos properties have had some level of involvement of a person over-extending).

If you owe $$$ on your Citibank Mastercard and decide to not pay, you will eventually be sued (if it's enough $) in a civil court, and Citibank can get a judgement to collect the debt.

If you gamble in Nevada on credit (markers), of which, casinos will increase your line NOT based on normal credit/lending criteria (i.e. not based on the fact that you can really pay it back), it is NOT considered an unsecured debt (such as a credit card), but basically check fraud. And, unbelievably you can go to jail for this. Talk about debtors prison. (of course, the example being simplified a bit).

It is NOT unusual for one who gets bitten by the gambling bug, to take things to far... and actually feel the only way out (and the only way to spare his/her family of further financial issues) is to shoot him/herself in the head.

Yes, an extreme example (of many of the evils of gaming),
but believe me... this is an industry that preys on its customers...

Just one example (of many, though in this case, a very extreme example)

I haven't had a successful three-segment trip in a while

Then again, I'm a miles-qualifier, not a segments qualifier (I can tell you exactly how many EQMs I have this year, but no idea on number of segments).
